Forge Forward: "1983" Art Print

A collage of time, place, and analogue noise. This print was built entirely from real newspaper ads and type scanned from Brisbane papers in 1983, back when classifieds were chaotic, typography was unpredictable, and everything felt a little louder.

Each piece of text and imagery has been cut, layered, and reassembled into something new: a vibrant broadcast from the past. Printed by me, on my own printer, with colours turned all the way up. It’s gritty, nostalgic, and unexpectedly electric.
